Hitler's manager

Gustav and Alfried Krupp - The armory

No other company was as hated by the Allies as Krupp, the "armory of the Reich". The film follows the lives of Gustav Krupp and his son Alfried and shows how both became "Hitler's managers" despite initial resistance.

Their weapons had a reputation as efficient machines of destruction and their steel was considered particularly hard.
Hitler needed the Krupp cannon kings for his war, but Gustav, who initially headed the company, met the brown dictator with a mixture of contempt and skepticism.
However, this did not stop the arms manufacturer from coming to terms with the new system in business terms.
In 1943, Alfried Krupp took over the empire from his terminally ill father.
The war had long been lost by then.
But the heir was to forge weapon after weapon with an army of foreign forced laborers, an assignment with fatal consequences for the young Alfried.
