The Counts of Oeynhausen-Sierstorpff

They bear a great name and live on a stately estate.
Prince Bernhard of the Netherlands comes from their ranks, they own estates, forests and a company with a unique tradition.

The WDR documentary "The Counts of Oeynhausen-Sierstorpff" tells the impressive story of a striking aristocratic dynasty from North Rhine-Westphalia.
In the middle of Germany, in the Teutoburg Forest, in the far north of the most populous federal state of North Rhine-Westphalia, Count Marcus von Oeynhausen-Sierstorpff and his wife Annabelle are the seventh generation to run the "Gräflicher Park Hotel & Spa" in Bad Driburg alongside the Bad Driburg nature park springs and a group of clinics.
Over the course of 225 years, a luxury spa in a class of its own has been created with guests from all over the world.
Jette Joop, Vicky Leandros, Fritz Wepper, but also Prince Leopold of Bavaria and Otto Graf Lambsdorff have been regular guests of the hotel for decades.

Commissioned by WDR, BROADVIEW TV tells the eventful story of the aristocratic dynasty of the Counts Oeynhausen-Sierstorpff.
For the first time, filmmaker Jobst Knigge manages to offer very personal insights into the world of the Oeynhausen-Sierstorpffs.
In addition to exclusive interviews with family members, companions and well-known personalities from North Rhine-Westphalia, the director has access to previously unpublished private and archive footage.

First broadcast: Friday, March 13, 2009, 8:15 p.m., WDR.
