Theater landscapes

The shell of the building on the banks of Deep Lake in Potsdam is reminiscent of the world-famous opera house in Sydney.
At a time when theaters are being closed or converted into musical stages, the Hans-Otto-Theater Potsdam is getting a new home.
And it urgently needs it.
For decades, the ensemble of the Hans-Otto-Theater had performed in sometimes adventurous makeshift venues.
The venerable old theater was destroyed by bombs during the Second World War.
Until the opening of the new theater in September 2006, performances took place in the replacement venue known as the "Blechbüchse".

Artistic Director Uwe Eric Laufenberg and his ensemble show the city where theater can be performed: in the Orangery of Sanssouci, in churches, in old halls, palaces and villas.
