He is responsible for the profitability of the theater and yet is always caught between two stools: Enabling artistic diversity and at the same time keeping an eye on the theater's finances.

There is no specific training that leads to this job at the top of the theater management.
Like most administrative directors, Christian Ruppert is a career changer, having previously worked as a lawyer.
A law degree is an obvious choice; all legal issues land on his desk.
But a passion for theater is essential: a pure desk jockey could never understand what makes a theater tick.
